Food, Fun and Fall Book Sale!

It's hard to believe it's already September and summer is a thing of the past. The kids are back in school, and we're looking forward to cooler temperatures in our future. We hope you'll make the library part of your fall season. The reasons to visit us abound.

Would you like to support area farmers by enjoying locally grown foods that are ethical, organic and sustainable? If so, please join us for our Local is Better event on Thursday, September 15 at the Orlando Public Library. Hear from providers of the Homegrown Co-op, and learn why local is better for you, your family and the environment. Best of all, there will be samples to enjoy.

Another treat on tap this month is when Cirque du Soleil visits the Orlando Public Library on September 20. Get a sneak peek of Dralion, the newest show by Cirque du Soleil. The show features a colorful fusion of east and west, and some amazing acts of acrobatics. You just can't beat this free and fun entertainment!

Finally, the Friends of the Library will hold their annual Fall Book Sale September 16 through September 18. It's a terrific time to get major discounts on already well-priced gently used books. Everything in the entire bookstore will be half off. Hope to see you there. Let the savings begin!
