National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month.

National Poetry Month was established by the Academy of American Poets as a month long national celebration of poetry. Be sure to check out the special display table at Southwest Library for books on how to write poetry, various poet's works, "Master Poets" VHS collection, and audio books. You will find poetry materials for children and adults.

And be sure to check out the National Poetry Month gallery located in our Virtual Library for more information on poetry databases, materials, websites and upcoming library poetry programs.

Celebrate poetry this month!
