Lillian Verkins "In Love with Nature" Art Exhibit

Lillian Verkins, a local artist is currently exhibiting a collection of landscape and flower themed paintings, "In Love with Nature" at the Southwest Library through August 2006.

Lillian was introduced to the arts as a returning college student in her 30's. She received a BFA in printmaking/photography from UCF in 1987. She has shown her art work at various art galleries such as UCF (one-person show), Sosa, Eitharong, Osceola Center for the Arts, and the Casselberry Art House.

Lillian shares "art was extremely personal and therapeutic to me than and now. It is an extension of my emotional persona and a palette of my feelings which are shown in all the art forms I use - from angst to serenity, it's all palpable."
