Children Informational DVD and VHS Tapes Have Moved

Where have all the children's informational tapes gone? You know the ones with the Dewey Decimel numbers on them.

During the last few weeks the Southwest Library shelvers have been busy moving all the children's tapes from their old location to join the juvenile nonfiction books side by side on the shelves. For example, if a patron is looking for a book about improving math skills, math-related DVD or VHS tapes will be found shelved right with the books...and that goes ditto for geography, history. science, etc. Patrons now can enjoy a sort of "one-stop shopping" when it comes to children's nonfiction/informational materials! Also, library staff hope the move will increase patrons' awareness of the library's great audio-visual informational materials.

So far the comments from patrons regarding the move have been positive. Please let us know what you think. We welcome your comments and suggestions.
