Tom Davis Photography Exhibit - "The Beauty of Realism"

Tom Davis, professional chef and hobbyist photographer is currently exhibiting his photography titled "The Beauty of Realism" at the Southwest Library through January 2007. His photos feature nature, animals, people and food. Tom, a chef could not leave out this last category!

Tom's interest in photography began at age 11 when his father bought him his first camera. In high school, Tom got to use a 35 mm for the first time. Tom continues to learn more about photography by reading books, practicing, and by trial and error. Tom states, "As a photographer, I like to capture the natural beauty of the subject. I use some manipulation, but prefer to see things for what they are. Some subjects you only have a short time to photograph or they are gone or forever changed. Sometime you have to wait for the right moment."
