Underground Railroad and Harriet Tubman February 13

During National Black History Month come learn about the Underground Railroad and the life of Harriet Tubman from Carol Smith, local collector and quilter. See a collection of Underground Railroad-related photos and documents and a quilt depicting symbolism that was used to aid escaping slaves on their journey to freedom.
Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.

You may view Carol Smith's collection on exhibit at the Southwest Library during March and April 2007.
