Orlando Oriental Brush Painting Society Exhibit July - September
The Orlando Oriental Brush Painting Society is exhibiting their artwork and tools of the trade at Southwest Library this July through September.
The Society is a group of artists continuing their education in the ancient techniques of Chinese Brush Painting. Chinese Brush Painting is the oldest art form in the world. The artist's tools include an ink stone, ink stick, bamboo brush, and rice paper. The use of lines and strokes are the elements that give Chinese painting its unique quality. It requires discipline and trust in the process to master.
The Orlando Oriental Brush Painting Society had been featured on PBS's Arts Connection on Channel WMFE and in the July 2007 issue of the Central Florida Lifestyle magazine.
