National March into Literacy Month March 1-31

Celebrate National March into Literacy Month by visiting the Southwest branch of the Orange County Library System. National March into Literacy Month is intended to raise awareness of literacy in the United States. The Library offers a wide range of books and online programs supporting improving literacy in Central Florida. Alphabet Bites is one online program the Library currently offers. This program promotes literacy by providing different activities for children ages 3 to 5 in five exciting categories. The categories include listen, play, read, watch, and do. Children can choose a letter to work with then they can decide whether they want to listen to the letters being sounded out, play a game with the letter, read a story that the title starts with the letter, or do an activity featuring the letter. You can experiment with Alphabet Bites or find out what other programs the library has to offer through our website www.ocls.info under Virtual Library and NetLinks or Databases.
