As you may already be aware, the Orange County Library System was recently the beneficiary of the single largest gift in Library history. At a short ceremony, Mr. Kendrick Melrose, formerly CEO of the Toro Corporation, presented the Library with a ceremonial check for $1,000,000 to establish The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation & Creativity.
These funds will be used to develop the Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation, and Creativity on the second floor of the Main Library. This center will become a place for entrepreneurs, students and small businesses to collaborate, learn, share ideas and bring their stories to life.
